Tip of the Month - ONLINE COUPONS

Dinner Made Easy by MenuShoppers.com

If you haven’t checked out www.menushoppers.com, you are working too hard in your kitchen!  With a click, you have 1 full week of menus for a family of four.  With another click, you print out the completed shopping list.  MenuShoppers will tell you which grocery store has the best collection of deals and send you there.  If you are a coupon clipper,  just click on the Savings Page and there is a list of current online coupons for quick printing and clipping.

If you are like my family, we would often come home after work and look in the fridge or freezer and start to think about dinner.  This was usually followed by a quick run to the store to pick up one or two things for dinner.  If you are like my husband, those two things turn into two or three bags of stuff!  We were spending about $150 a week on groceries.  After starting MenuShoppers, we are averaging $70 a week.  Plus we are eating healthier!

Tip of the month:  Online Coupons

Printable CouponsIf you haven’t accessed online coupons yet, it can be a little daunting.  I have spent the past year scouring coupon sites.  There are lots, but for convenience and to reduce spam email, I rely on a few easy-to-use sites.  Retailers have caught on to online coupons, and are pretty good about accepting them.  If you are a Safeway or King Soopers shopper, you can even go to their websites and download their coupon offering right on to your store card.

Remember the golden rule of coupons:  If you don’t need it, don’t clip it and for heaven’s sake….don’t buy it!  Coupons intentionally want you to purchase in bulk, or try new things.  Sometimes it makes sense to stock up on things you use frequently.  However, do not use coupons to purchase things on a whim.  Think of them only as a tool to reduce your grocery total.
